Trivia

The Police did not sell out the original venue (Zentralstadion). Instead of cancelling this concert they changed to the smaller Messehalle 1. This is not really a concert hall as its name indicates. Although it looks ugly and the sound wasn't perfect everywhere The Police and the audience had a good time. Sting was clearly surprised about the audience's performance during Roxanne.

The band didn't perform perfectly, but they were able to laugh away a few obvious mistakes.

Sting arrived in Leipzig only about 45 minutes before the concert started - being the only passenger of a private Falcon 2000 landing at Leipzig's airport. Clearly a waste of fuel, as the plane had 13 more empty seats...

The support act Scouting For Girls (as announced on tickets and in the press) did not play. Arno Carstens performed instead.
